REFERENCE SERVICES Reference Librarians are available at both the Holmen and Onalaska Libraries to answer questions and assist users in finding materials to meet their needs and interests. Some of the services provided include:

Personal, professional assistance by trained librarians is available to help you in person. You may be assisted by telephone:

2. Inter-Library Loan
This service is provided for materials not available within the County Libraries. The service is free and available at all five branches. Books, articles from magazines, and other materials which the County Library does not own may be requested. There is a limit of five requests per person per week.

National Do Not Call List Once you have registered, your phone number registration will be effective for 5 years. It will be illegal for most telemarketers to call you, and you will be able to file a complaint if a telemarketer does call you. The website https://www.donotcall.gov provides information about filing a complaint.

Oral History Project  The D.C. Everest School District Oral History Project is a non-profit student volunteer organization that works to chronicle the life experiences of people involved in Twentieth Century and recent historical events. Our organization, founded in 1999 has been very active, producing eight books on subjects including the Hmong, the Vietnam War, World War II, the Korean War and the Great Depression. This next school year we will release our newest books: "Classics: A Look Back at the 1950's" and "Local Voices: Stories About the History of the Wausau Area."
